Chapter 01 · The Launch

A documentary, a panel,
and a beginning.

On Friday, 22 May 2026, we officially launch SustyVibes UK at Brasenose College, University of Oxford — with a screening of The Eco-Anxiety Africa Documentary and a panel discussion alongside The Eco-Anxiety Africa Project (TEAP).

It’s an important step in expanding our work beyond borders while staying rooted in community, culture, and collective action.

Join us as we grow the movement.

Chapter 02

Why the UK?

SustyVibes UK extends our resilience-focused sustainability model to the African diaspora.

Through The Eco-Anxiety Africa Project (TEAP), we’ve already built strong partnerships in the UK — with the University of Nottingham and Imperial College London.

These partnerships have enabled us to bridge research and storytelling — laying the foundation for our future growth and impact across the diaspora.

Chapter 03 · So far

Our work
in the UK.

Research & Collaboration

In 2022, in partnership with the University of Nottingham, TEAP investigated how climate change impacts mental health and wellbeing across five Anglophone West African cities.

This collaboration is ongoing through the Interdisciplinary Mental Health Perspectives on Adaptation and Climate Threats (IMPACT) project — strengthening mental health resilience in the face of climate change. The West Africa case study is led by Dr Charles Ogunbode at the University of Nottingham, supported by TEAP.

TEAP also contributed to Connecting Climate Minds (CCM) — led by Imperial College London and funded by the Wellcome Trust. Through the Lived Experience Working Group, we helped amplify the voices of young people from the Global South in global conversations around climate and mental health.

Chapter 04 · Glimpses

A London
gathering.

Before the launch at Oxford, we've been gathering quietly with the community — meeting, eating, listening. These frames are from our SustyVibes Meet & Greet in London: a small room, a long table, a lot of laughter, and the first threads of the UK chapter being woven.
